What This Session Was About
Zero Trust is the right security strategy. It's also, for most end users and even many IT teams, deeply abstract and easy to ignore in practice. Awareness training doesn't move the needle. Compliance checkboxes don't change behavior.
This session proposed gamification as the adoption layer that Zero Trust is missing — turning the abstract principles (verify explicitly, use least privilege, assume breach) into experiences that teams can actually internalize.
Key Topics
- Why Zero Trust adoption fails at the human layer
- Game mechanics that map directly to security behavior change
- Building a Zero Trust "quest" for your organization
- Microsoft tools: Defender, Purview, and Entra through a gamification lens
